Central England Temperature

Central England Temperature (CET) A series of average temperatures for rural sites in central England, consisting of monthly figures from 1659, and daily ones from 1772 to date. Originally compiled by Professor Gordon Manley in 1973, it is the longest homogeneous meteorological record in the world and is now regularly kept up to date by the UK Meteorological Office
