Free Maths Stuff For Schools : If your school hasn't already registered ..; Great Maths Giveaway.(Competitions/Offers)

OVER the past month, registration packs have been sent out to all 38,000 schools in the UK.

Every school that wants to take part MUST sign up first and many thousands already have.

If your school hasn't signed up, here is what to do:

Find your registration number. Each school has a different one which the teacher will find at the top of the welcome letter sent out with the registration pack.

Register by one of three different ways: Phone - our hotline number is 08452 065 065. On the Internet - you'll find our web site at www.mathsstuff4schools.com

Post - the address is in your pack.

Inside your massive registration pack is everything needed to collect tokens successfully:

Letters for your maths co-ordinator and parents.

A collecting bin for tokens and a wall chart to measure your progress.

Posters to get everyone involved.

The catalogue of over 110 exciting items.

Remember, if you sign up on-line by October 31, you will receive a free Maths Explorer 1 CD-ROM.

Note: Only schools and not individuals can join up, so badger your head teacher to get involved.

WIN A PC IN NAME GAME

MATHS Year 2000 - the Government's pounds 19 billion initiative - will improve numeracy standards in Britain and to celebrate its launch we are offering the chance to win great prizes for kids and their schools.

We are looking for a name for the official Maths 2000 logo (right).

And if we choose your suggestion you will win a fabulous Time Education 466 PC for yourself and every item in the Free Maths Stuff for Schools catalogue for your school - that's more than 100 items.

Just complete the following tie-breaker "My favourite number is ... because..." (in no more than 15 words) and send it with your suggested name to Competition, Free Maths Stuff for Schools, Dept No. CM1571, PO Box 6045, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, LU7 0YW.

The best 10 suggestions will appear in the Sunday Mirror and readers will pick the winner (and one lucky reader voting for the winner will also win a fabulous Time Education 466 PC). Everything you need to know is in your registration pack.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Only one entry per pupil.

2. All entries must be received by November 1.

3. Entries will be judged and the winning school and pupil notified by January 8, 2000. Tie-breaker must be completed for the entry to be valid.

4. The judge's decision is final. In the event of any competition entries being the same the tie-breaker will be used to judge the winning entry.
